Redeemed From the Curse of the Lawġ3 Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:ġ4 That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.Ģ9 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise. If you are another Job, you are going to prosper. Job lived one hundred years after the events recorded in the Bible. You’ll have twice as much as you’ve ever had, and you will be healed and live to be old. If you think you are another Job, that means you’ll be one of the richest men around. When the storm came and blew the house down on his children and they were killed, when Job was smitten with boils from his head to his feet, when his wife turned against him and said, “Curse God and die,” Job was in captivity to Satan. When the fire fell and burned up his crops, he was in captivity to Satan. When the thieves broke in and stole Job’s things, he was captive of Satan. However, the entire Book of Job happened within a period of nine months, and the last chapter says that God turned Job’s captivity, and that “the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before” (Job 42:10). ![]() I have heard people say, “Well, I guess I’m just another Job.” Some people think that poor old Job went through life poverty stricken, sick, and afflicted. I Timothy 6:10 says, “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.” A person can be guilty of that sin and not have one dime. “But,” someone might say, “the Bible says that money is the root of all evil.” However, the Bible does not say that at all. I have since learned, through studying God’s Word and applying it in my own life, that God wants His children to “prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth” (III John 2). Any promise in the scriptures regarding financial blessing applied only to the Jews, I thought. I thought that a righteous man could not be wealthy and that a wealthy man could not be righteous. I thought as many do that poverty was a characteristic of humility – that in order to be humble one must be poor. Therefore, I can expect to reap generously and with blessings. As born-again believers, we are redeemed from the curse of the law and are heirs to Abraham’s blessing and God’s promises of prosperity.įor many years I did not understand that it is God’s will for His children to prosper. I do not sow sparingly and grudgingly, but rather, I sow generously, blessing others. As I give, it is given to me again-good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. ![]() I labor so that I may walk honestly toward those who are without. I choose to apply myself to good deeds-to honest labor and honorable employment-so that I may be able to meet necessary demands whenever the occasion may require, and that I may not live an idle, uncultivated, unfruitful life, in Jesus’ Name. Knowing through Your WORD, Father, that You are The LORD my God who teaches me to profit and who leads me by the way I should go, I will put Your principles to work in my life regarding employment. ![]() I will mind my own affairs, working with my hands so that I may bear myself becomingly, correctly and honorably, and command the respect of the outside world, being self-supporting, dependent on no one and having need of nothing. I make it my ambition to live quietly and peacefully. I am assured that You will withhold no good thing from me as I walk uprightly. You have promised that as a doer of The WORD I will be blessed in all my deeds. I believe then I shall make my way prosperous and have good success. I will meditate in Your WORD day and night, not letting it depart from my mouth, keeping it in the midst of my heart, observing to do all that is written therein. I believe, Father, that You wish above all things that I prosper and be in health even as my soul prospers. ![]() I boldly say that The LORD is my helper and I will not be seized with alarm. I am confident in Your faithfulness, that You will never leave me nor forsake me, nor leave me helpless. I am satisfied with my present circumstances and with what I have, being confident because You have promised You will not in any way fail me, nor leave me without support. I choose for my character and moral disposition to be free from the love of money, greed, lust and craving for earthly possessions. Heavenly Father, I have chosen Jesus as The LORD of my life and I seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, believing that the material things I need will be supplied.
